Exhibitions

CCCRH makes some of its materials available for short term or extend exhibition at appropriate locations, and we work with partner organizations to promote other exhibitions that are relevant to our research and educational focus.

The Cathedral Coins

This is a permanent display at the Anglican Cathedral in Ann Street, Brisbane. It features coins relevant to biblical studies and church history. Admission is free of charge when the Cathedral is open. An information booklet about the collection is available for purchase at the Cathedral Shop. Virtual tour

Class teaching kits

CCCRH has published a helpful guide to creating a Numismatic Kit for RE Teachers, prepared by CCCRH researcher, Dr Peter Lewis. This guide first appeared as an article in the October 2019 issue of the Australasian Coin & Banknote Magazine (vol 22/9, 52–56).

Local exhibitions

The Centre for Coins, Culture and Religious History has several curated sets of historical material that are available for loan to schools, faith communities and community groups. Exhibition sets that are currently available include the following, and more sets will be created over time.

Request Items on Loan from CCCRH

Selected items from the collection are available for short-term loan by colleges, schools, churches and other community organisations. Some items may not be available for loans due to various factors, including their current state of preservation, other exhibition schedules, or their intrinsic value. If you have not used one of our web forms previously, you will asked to register with your name and email address. There is no charge to register, but it assists with the security of our site.

Academics who are interested in accessing the collection for their own research and teaching are invited to become Research Associates of the CCCRH.
